Recovery represents the process of using a recovery seed to restore and grant you access to an already existing account.
Warning: some malicious websites which falsely present themselves as the official Trezor Wallet, will ask you to enter your recovery seed in the browser by a very specific order. Do not enter your recovery seeds unless the physical Trezor Device instructs you to do so and then confirm on your device. Always trust the instructions on your Trezor device.
If your device is new or empty, the Device is ready for you to restore your wallet using your recovery seed.
If you have lost your PIN and you need access or simply want to load a different seed into your device, you will have to wipe the memory of your trezor. Be sure to have your Trezor connected to a computer or other compatible device and visit the wallet in your browser. If your wallet is not initialized, an option to either create a new wallet or recover an existing one. If the device has been initialized and you want to recover a different seed, return to the Preparing your Trezor for recovery section.
- Click on the recover wallet button and enter your recovery seed
- Select the corresponding number of words of your seed using your touch screen.
- Enter the words of your seed on your device by following the instructions.
Double-check the spelling of your seed words. Note that with your Trezor Model T you will have to enter all recovery seed words on the device. Once you have recovered your wallet, continue the setup by enabling basic security.
