Receiving Payments In Trezor Wallet
Once you have initialized the Trezor device, your wallet is ready to be used. At this point, you should be able to see the home screen with the empty wallet and by clicking on Account #1, you will see an empty transaction tab. Now you can easily receive your first coins. You can now select the cryptocurrency that you want to receive in the top left corner of the screen.
The wallet supports Litecoin, Bitcoin, Dash, Zcash, Dogecoin, Bitcoin Gold, Bitcoin Cash and a number of other cryptocurrencies that can be accessed using third-party wallets.
Warning: Do Not send or receive transactions to addresses that are generated for different cryptocurrency such as Bitcoin Cash to a Bitcoin Address.
Next, you have to select the Receive tab to get the first receiving address. Make sure that you provide your receiving address to someone who has not had his computer changed by an infected computer. The feature shows the full address that has been developed by exactly this purpose.
Confirm On Trezor
At this point, you will be asked to check and confirm the address on your device. Make sure that the receiving address that was created by your device matches the one in your wallet. This will make sure that the address is yours and not generated by a third party. Re-check and re-confirm the address on your device by clicking on the eye icon next to the address.
Display The Address As A QR Code
To display the address in the form of a QR code, make sure to click on QR on your Trezor device before you confirm the address. The QR code will then be displayed on your device and in your Trezor wallet. To display the QR code in your wallet only, confirm the address on your device.
Generating multiple addresses
You may also use the [show new address] button to generate multiple receiving addresses and this will also help you keep track of your payments as well as to maintain a high level of privacy. For additional privacy, make sure to read using multiple accounts.
Note: It is possible to repeatedly reuse the receiving addresses that are generated in your account.
Transaction confirmation
Now you will be able to use your newly generated address to receive funds and when someone makes the payment to you, you will see it your transaction panel and at first, it will appear as unconfirmed. After the transaction gets its first confirmation in the network, you will see the ‘’unconfirmed’’ text replaced by the time of the transaction. You can always double-check the transaction status in the blockchain explorer by clicking on the confirmation time. Send your newly received funds before the first confirmation but we recommend that you wait until the transaction is confirmed.
