Who Created It?
Shiba Inu was created in August 2020 as a direct competitor to Dogecoin unlike this cryptocurrency, SHIBA has a mysterious creator often called Ryoshi. He/She made some design choices which since set the token aside from other coins and according to the creator, this coin has the flexibility to outpace the worth of DOGE without ever crossing the $0.1 mark.
To put this into perspective, SHIB was buying and selling for $0.00002831 at one time which was a good distance from $0.1 but its market cap already reached a third of DOGE’s market cap. As famous as it got, following the launch of the Shiba Inu token, Ryoshi transferred half of the token’s coins to Buterin whereas the opposite half got locked in Uniswap as a decentralized alternate. As written within the whitepaper or as the community likes to call it, woof paper, the goal here was to swtich possessions of 500 trillion SHIB to Ethereum’s creator Vitalik Buterin with the hope he will lock them away forever.
Shiba Inu was created by Ryoshi and there are very few details known about the person behind it. Ina Medium post from May 2021, the creator said “I am nobody, I am not important. The efforts to unmask my identity even if successful would be underwhelming. I’m just a guy of no consequence tapping at a keyboard and I am replaceable.”
However, this didn’t stop people from speculating the real identity of Ryoshi. On Reddit, one user pointed out that the SHIB Creator posted a photo that included Buterin hanging out in Japan with Karl Floersch who specializes in the development of blockchain systems that are focusing on Etheruem. If this is true, Given that Buterin got 50% of the SHIB supply, the Reddit community believes that the entire team of Ethereum is involved with this project. In its relatively short existence, however, this project garnered strong support and its website claims that it has a growing community that features over $480,000 people and more than 70,000 followers on Twitter with 3000 and more on Medium.
