What Are The Best DOGE Wallets?

DOGE hardware wallets are still one of the safest wallet types out there as they require an initial investment but for comparison, the software wallets are free most of the time. The reason the wallets are considered safe is that they keep the private keys to the DOGE offline on a physical device.

For example, Ledger Nano and Trezor are among the best hardware wallets for keeping your DOGE secure but we will see some of the other wallets as well.

The DOGE software wallets will store the private keys to your coins on your device whether that is a desktop one or a mobile phone one. These wallets could become vulnerable to malware so make sure to take the necessary precautions and only download official or highly recommended wallets. Alternatively, you can use a multi-currency wallet like Coinomi and Exodus.

Going back to our hardware wallets, we will take a look at Ledger Nano S. this wallet looks like a small USB device with one key difference in that it has a built-in OLED display that is used along with mall buttons on the device to confirm and to manually verify the transactions. The wallet also features secure PIN storage of the private keys and an easy-to-use backup with restore feature as well as 2-factor authentication.

A slightly cheaper option is the Trezor wallet which is also a hardware wallet that is developed by SatoshiLabs based in the Czech republic. Together with Ledger, it is one of the most trusted hardware wallets. The private keys to your dogecoin wallet are kept on the device and make it hard for hackers to get their hands on it through online connections. It also interacts with the Trezor bridge which facilitates a connection between your device and your browser.

While the model is the entry-level wallet, SatoshiLabs developed a new expansive version called the Model T. the wallet makes it easy to interact with the wallet without having to manually enter the inputs digit by digit.

Another option is to use the official Dogecoin wallet and the desktop version of the wallet came in both core wallet versions that can be downloaded and help to secure the network as well as a lite version that is suitable for simply storing and transferring DOGE and a mobile version for Android devices. The desktop versions are available for OSX, Linux, and Windows.
